Welcome to VINYL GOLF: A Private Collection of Golf-Related Records

For several years I have derived a great deal of satisfaction from  compiling, researching, photographing and, finally, organizing all the golf-related records (plus many more) that you can see here in this website called Vinyl Golf.

COMING SOON! A book entitled Vinyl Golf - A Surprising Personal Collection of Record Albums, 45s, and 78s Plus the Famous (and Not-So-Famous) Artists Who Made Them in both print and e-book formats available at all major online bookstores such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Signed and numbered print copies will be available through this website or by contacting me at vinylgolf@ifiber.tv . The book fills in the details and background of all the records you find here plus many others - 80 different artist/golfers (and golfer/artists!) plus 140 photos.

This is an authentic collection. In other words, I own these records and  didn't simply grab images off the internet. I endeavored to acquire the best copies I could find and the finest ones I could afford. Just like collectors of all types, it is not uncommon for serious record hounds to build a niche collection. If you like trains, you look for records with trains on them. If you like Dylan, Dylan. Bootlegs, bootlegs. Or Dylan bootlegs. It could be anything, and if the collection is unique, so much the better. Among other things, I like golf, so once I noticed there was such a thing as golf-related records the focus of my collecting  headed in a new and often surprising direction.

By publishing this website, I hope you will be surprised, too, as you browse this unusual collection. By the way, this phenomenon - golf-related records - is unique to the sport of golf. Sure, you may find a tennis-related disc or two, or an NBA or NFL championship  team album that recaps a great season, but you won't find anything in the sporting world that compares to the number or variety of records that pertain to golf. Check it out.  In the meantime, enjoy!
